Our latest manuscript pulls back from the specimen-hunting scene to fly the flag for the family man.
From the day SwanShot was spawned, we’ve been banging the drum for all the finer elements of angling, stepping away from the “Big Up” vibe to showcase the guys grinding full-time jobs, feeding mouths and paying bills. The ones lucky enough to steal 24 hours on the bank from a demanding family week.
This guy epitomises all of the above.
Heading up a seriously demanding kitchen that caters for major events, with numbers of bums on seats enough to give your average cook a coronary. Throw into the mix being a father of two, growing his own produce and tending to the allotment, leaving his own angling to be distilled into brief windows of opportunity.
His tale follows the introduction of his son Riley into angling. A slow-burn process, never rushing things, allowing the lad to become hooked in his own time. Just as Lewis did a lifetime ago, following in the footsteps of his old man.
It’s just beautiful, innocent storytelling, with some mega-cool shots to back up his words.
If you’re a family man, still daydreaming through your work shift about when you’re next getting out, hatching plans in your head while the rest of life keeps rolling…

This one’s for you.
Be Free.
